Thank you for taking part in Support a Family 2025! If you have registered to take part and have received confirmation you have been matched to a family by receiving your family profile, here is some helpful information:
Food: Hampers should contain food items to ensure your family can enjoy a Christmas meal in their own home. This could include cold meat, vegetables, Christmas cake, fresh or tinned fruit, pavlova or Christmas pudding. Hampers should also include some grocery items such as bread, cereal, juice, crackers, pasta, canned items, biscuits, chocolate or sweets. Please do not include any frozen goods.
Presents: We ask that each hamper contains at least one present for each child in the family. Some donors also provide presents for the adults or other family members, including pets!
For a family of four, a hamper could include 20 food items, and a present for each child.
Your hamper can be contained in any form of box, bag or packaging. Most donors use cardboard boxes, wrapping them in Christmas paper or decorating them to add extra Christmas spirit. Some may use gift bags or items that their recipient family can keep and use such as storage containers or washing baskets.
Please ensure you attach the numbered stickers (received in your family profile letter) to your Christmas hamper, including all boxes or bags of extra items to ensure parcels get to the correct family.
All hampers need to be dropped off on Tuesday 23rd December between 7:30am and 11:30am at the Christchurch North Methodist Parish (cnr. Harewood Rd & Chapel St). It is very important that we have all the hampers delivered by 11:30am so they are ready for the families to pick them up in the afternoon.
There is plenty of car parking at the Christchurch North Methodist Parish on Chapel St and there will be people available to help carry your hamper.
